Jon Tye is another musical friend who, in 2023, had a super productive year. Together with Pete Fowler, as Seahawks, he remixed cult soft-rocker Danny Morgan for Be With Records and Marshall Watson’s sunset sounds for NuNorthern Soul. Seahawks themselves then got reworked by a collection of cool Japanese cats: Taro Nohara, Calm, and aus. The latter also released an album on Jon’s label, Lo Recordings. Everis was just one of the imprint’s highlights, alongside other ambient / deep listening gems, like Lecu’s Leck and Coral Sea’s If Memory Serves, and Red Snapper’s magnificent Moth Club gig. Solo, as Ocean Moon, Jon contributed tracks to two super, celebratory compilations, Emotional Rescue’s All Trades Volume 1, and Music From Memory’s 10.

Eddie Chacon / Sundown

We were lucky enough to work with Eddie on his 2021 release Pleasure, Joy, and Happiness,  remixing the track Hurt. Sundown continues his journey, creating a world of warmth and light.

bvdub and Inquiri / Destroyesterday

I discovered the work of bvdub and Inquiri when Seahawks visited Los Angeles in 2022. The combination is astounding and we’re very excited to be working with Inquiri on the upcoming Seahawks album, Time Enough For Love.

Music From Memory / 10

This compilation from the amazing Music From Memory label is a fitting testament to the work of Tako Reyenga and the sadly departed Jamie Tiller. I feel very honoured to feature on the album with the Ocean Moon track, The Ecstatic Alarm.

aus / Everis

2023 was a good year for our label, Lo Recordings, and it made us very happy to be able to release the beautiful album, Everis, from Flau label boss Yasuhiko Fukuzono. aus also kindly provided a wonderful remix of the Seahawks track Space Oracle.

Purelink / Signs

I was lucky enough to see Purelink in Los Angeles in 2022, and was blown away by their deep and immersive sound. Signs, on the ever amazing Peak Oil label, is a perfect introduction. Look out for their remix of Seahawks coming in 2024.

Alex Kassian / Voices

I’ve loved every release by Alex Kassian, and Voices continues his immaculate voyage into the infinite.

Wally Badarou / Colors Of Silence

Reissued in 2023, this album is so full of love and light that it never fails to uplift and inspire me. So good to finally have it on vinyl thanks to the always immaculate Be With Records.
